More Information (KJIL is not responsible for external websites)

The Birdwell Foundation was created by military veterans that met after running support groups for fellow veterans. They saw the shortage of compassion and willingness to help ANYONE, not just combat veterans suffering the effects of PTSD offered by other non-profits. From there they decided to do something about it by creating a non-profit known as the Birdwell Foundation. Since its inception in June of 2018, they have run weekly support groups for any person suffering the effects of PTSD.

We are comprised of military veterans, law enforcement, the fire service and others that have felt the effects of PTSD. Through compassion and mentoring by fellow veterans, they now have a resolution from the debilitating effects of PTSD. We are here to fill the gap in supportive care while trying to serve as a conduit for better communication for the entire public and corporate America with regards to people with PTSD.

Our Mission:
To decrease and eliminate veteran and first responder suicide.  By providing a community of support from fellow warriors who have found their way out of the darkness by a healing process they are now prepared and ready to teach and provide to others.
